Specialising in care of older people, Mundamalla Care Home (Mundamalla meaning house of tranquillity) is set in its own extensive grounds in Newtyle and has been providing care since 1938.
Mundamalla has been extensively renovated and refurbished to meet the needs of our clients and to provide the highest standards of care and comfort.
Our clients enjoy a wide range of excellent facilities and services, this includes entertainment, both daytime and evenings and local excursions during the summer months.
Hairdressing can be arranged in our own salon, or appointments can be made for this and other services such as dentist, optician or chiropody whenever required.
Nursing and care staff are on duty 24 hours a day and ongoing training from induction to further professional development is an integral part of the Home’s philosophy to continually improve standards of care.
Qualified catering staff provide varied menus which are assessed for nutritional value and dieticians are consulted whenever specialist dietary requirements arise. Clients are consulted on arrival at the Home regarding food likes/dislikes and this is reviewed with them on a regular basis.
